The Boston Celtics responded to Friday’s shenanigans with a 113-103 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday to complete the sweep of their back-to-back.
Boston led by as many as 21 points but watched its lead shrink to four in a shaky third quarter. It bounced back in the fourth and improved to 6-1 on the campaign.
Jayson Tatum (27 points) and Payton Pritchard (22 points) led the way for the C’s in the scoring department. Luke Kornet (19 points), Derrick White (18 points), and Jrue Holiday (13 points) also had big nights.
The Celtics’ road trip continues Monday in Atlanta. Tip-off for that matchup vs. the Hawks is set for 7:45 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston.
