Millie Bobby Brown got married in an Oscar de la Renta wedding dress. The Stranger Things actress shared her official wedding photos on Instagram today following her private ceremony with husband Jake Bongiovi.“forever and always, your wife,” she captioned the carousel. Brown looked breathtaking in a white sheer lace corset dress and veil. Her brown hair was styled up. During the after-party, she changed into a satin minidress. See all her photos here.
Bongiovi, for his part, complemented his wife in his own black and white ensemble. He wore a white suit jacket with a black bow tie and pants. (Brown appeared to take that bow tie and wear it later in the reception photos.)
Bongiovi shared his own photos, with one showing a third white dress Brown wore during their wedding celebration. That one was a sheer short-sleeve design with a corset and full skirt. Bongiovi wore a classic black suit alongside her. His caption mirrored hers: “forever and always, your husband.”
Brown and Bongiovi were first romantically linked in June 2021. They shared news of their engagement in April 2023.
They first had a private wedding ceremony in May before rumors sparked in late September that they were in Italy to have a bigger second ceremony with friends and family.
Brown spoke to Glamour last October about how Bongiovi changed her view on marriage. “My dream was to have a baby,” she said. “I wanted to be the woman that my mom is to me and I wanted to be the woman that my grandmother was to me. So that was never my, like, intention, to be a wife. But after meeting Jake and seeing, ‘Oh, I don’t have to be this stereotypical wife for him. He doesn’t want me to be that either. He wants me to go and do my thing and live my life, and he will hold my hand in the process of that.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I do want this.’”
She also addressed criticisms of them getting married in their early 20s, explaining, “It’s like—I know I should make this movie now. I know I should write this book now. I know I should do this now. It’s not because I can’t do it in 10 years; of course I can do it in 10 years. But why, when I know that it’s going to work now? Just like Florence [her beauty line] will be there in 10 years. You’ll be able to see my movie in 10 years on TV. And I know that Jake and I will be okay.”
