Like Adams and Johnson, Hill is on his current roster after arriving via trade.
He was dealt to the Dolphins by the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the 2022 season. Hill responded with Pro Bowl seasons in each of his campaigns so far for Miami. However, the Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls since the game-breaker left Kansas City and the Dolphins have had only opening-round playoff cameos.
Hill secured a pay bump this summer and is taking a rough start in stride.
The Dolphins are off to a 1-3 start in which they’ve yet to own a lead through four games. Hill, meanwhile, has been slowed to the tune of 17 receptions for 217 yards and a touchdown so far. To put those numbers into context, Hill has thrice eclipsed 200 yards in a single game during his career.
Nevertheless, he offered no inclinations that he’d be in a hurry to depart Miami, though he’s well aware of how the NFL works at times.
“We’ve got a great situation here, my family loves it, I enjoy it, the weather’s great, the fans are great,” he said. “So, we’ve got a beautiful situation here, man. Obviously, my parents always taught me control the controllables. I only can control so much. That being said, we all know the NFL is a business. Whatever happens, happens. Moving forward, I would love to be here — I love being here. I love the guys.”
