The team is now filled with ball carriers who look to advance the ball into the final third rather than make a few quick passes behind the defense. The inclusion of Dani Ceballos is expected to provide more balance, as the club aims to avoid overburdening the Croatian veteran Luka Modric in what could likely be his final season.

Mbappe, who finally ended his goalless drought in the Spanish League, looked dangerous after being actively involved in numerous offensive actions. The player attempted 24 shots prior to finally getting his well-deserved brace and breaking the deadlock against Real Betis. These goals also secured some crucial points for the Spanish side, preventing them from falling behind in the title race early in the season.

Despite these tactical adjustments, Real Madrid are still not entirely convincing after four matchdays have passed. They continue to try and find the optimal combination to play. With the recent injury news concerning Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga, and Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid now have depleted options in midfield. They may now have to rely on Arda Guler or Modric to fill in the gaps. With the Champions League just 13 days away, the reigning champions must stay vigilant and ensure they are prepared to reclaim their throne this season.
