This same incident was seen earlier this week on RAW when a popular athlete was addressed by a different name altogether by Michael Cole, one of the commentators on the show.
Nikki Cross is now being called Sister Abigail in WWE
If you’ve followed the late Bray Wyatt’s journey in the WWE, you’ll know who Sister Abigail is and the power that she holds in the Wyatt family. This name was previously used for Alexa Bliss when she was a part of the said family.
However, Bliss has been absent from programming for a while now, and in her absense it looks like Nikki Cross has been renamed as Sister Abigail following her inclusion to the Wyatt SICKS. As of now however, there are only five members in the stable, including Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy), leaving the spot open for a sixth member, if we are to take the name into account. So there’s a high chance that Alexa Bliss will be the sixth member of the faction once she returns. However, it’s interesting to see Nikki Cross, formerly known as Nikki A.S.H donne the mantle for now.
The multiple time 24×7 champion has had multiple gimmicks and names ever since she’s been a part of the promotion, and she’s had a partnership run with Bliss too, so WWE Creative could be setting up a stage to pit the two ladies against each other in the longer run, but that’s purely speculative for now. It’ll be interesting to see how it all works out to be in the coming months.
But for now, it looks like Nikki Cross will continue to play the role of Sister Abigail for the time being. The Wyatt SICKS are expected to make their first in-ring debut next week on WWE RAW after they finally unmasked themselves this week. There’s a lot of promise in this new storyline, so hopefully WWE Creative will execute it and deliver one of the best storylines that we’ve seen.
