Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to get married on July 12 in Mumbai. Ahead of the much-anticipated event, the Ambanis have organised several pre-wedding celebrations, including organising a mass wedding for the underprivileged.
The venue of the mass wedding was, however, changed on Monday. Originally scheduled to take place at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar at 4:30 pm on July 2, the event has now been moved to a new location.
The mass wedding will now take place at Reliance Corporate Park in Thane at 4 pm on Tuesday.
Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, and Radhika Merchant are set to wed in a lavish ceremony on July 12 in Mumbai. Their wedding festivities have already begun, starting with an intimate puja ceremony at the Ambanis’ residence, Antilia, on June 29.
A glimpse of the opulent wedding invite shared by a guest revealed an orange box adorned with an image of Lord Vishnu and intricate embroidery of Vaikuntha, the abode of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The box plays a Vishnu mantra upon opening, setting a spiritual tone. Inside, a golden book featuring detachable frames of Lord Ganesha and Radha Krishna contains the wedding invites.
The Ambani family personalised the invite further with a handwritten note for the guests, a beautiful ‘travel mandir’, and a handcrafted pashmina shawl from Kashmir.
The couple’s two pre-wedding celebrations have been nothing short of spectacular. They hosted a grand cruise party that began in Italy on May 29 and concluded in France on June 1. This was preceded by an elaborate pre-wedding gala in Jamnagar in March, which saw the attendance of around 1,000 guests, including celebrities, sportspersons, and industrialists.
The wedding itself will span three days at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, with ‘Shubh Vivaah’ on July 12, ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ on July 13, and ‘Mangal Utsav’, the wedding reception, on July 14.
