ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) – The western part of North Carolina, including Buncombe County, was hit the hardest by Hurricane Helene when it made landfall late last week.
First responders are continuing search efforts that they believe will include recovery efforts.
The county is still in a state of emergency and will remain so until further notice.
