According to PTI, the rank list has also been revised for the medical entrance examination by NTA.
“It is now informed that revised Score Cards of all Candidates of NEET(UG) 2024 (including of 1563 Candidates who appeared in the Re-Test on 23 June 2024), are being hosted on the website (https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/). Candidates can login to the website and view/download/print their respective revised Score Cards,” NTA said in a press release.
The retest, which took place on Sunday, was supervised by officials from both the NTA and the Union Education Ministry, as reported by PTI. This decision was made after the NTA decided to retract the grace marks given to students affected by delays at examination centers in Meghalaya, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Chandigarh.
Initially, six students achieved a perfect score of 720, along with 61 others, sparking allegations of mark inflation. .
“Besides, officials from the agency, the Union Education Ministry will also be present at these centers. The step has been taken to ensure smooth conduct of the re-exam,” PTI had quoted a senior NTA official as saying. The need for the retest emerged after allegations of irregularities, including paper leaks, surfaced. Despite these issues, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed on Thursday that the NEET would not be canceled, emphasising that the careers of the many students who rightfully cleared the exam should not be jeopardized due to isolated incidents of malpractice.
