Charlotte Flair has emerged as one of the top female WWE superstars of all time. However, behind the glamorous persona of The Queen is a person who suffered a major personal setback years ago. Flair lost her brother, Reed, who passed away in 2013. Despite being a long time, Charlotte has not completely healed from it. In fact, it led to a pain that probably might never leave the WWE megastar.During an interview with Doug Bopst, Flair revealed that she got into wrestling for her brother. Moreover, Reed was very close to seeing her wrestle for the first time, but unfortunately, he passed away right before it. She said, “My brother, unfortunately, he passed away before he got to see me wrestle for the very first time. My parents brought him home from Japan. He died that night before he was supposed to leave to see me wrestle.”At the same time, she admitted that the pain of losing her brother is still very much with her. “When he died in 2013, I still don’t think like, you know, you put it in a drawer and you close it. I don’t know if I have, because some days I can just get so emotional about it and others I don’t, or I just try not to think about it.”
Charlotte Flair is thriving as one of the top WWE stars

This led to her becoming one of the greatest WWE superstars of the modern era. She began her WWE tenure in 2013 as part of NXT and got called up to the main roster in 2015. Since then, Flair has carved out an illustrious resume with 14 WWE Women’s Championships and even headlining WWE’s premier show, WrestleMania. At the moment, Flair is currently aligned with fellow top star Alexa Bliss. The duo has become a captivating team on SmackDown and even became the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at one point. Moreover, their chemistry as frenemies has been widely appreciated. As The Queen continues to navigate her career and carry forward Reed’s dream with full dedication, it remains to be seen what is next for her. Also read: Is AJ Styles returning following a major announcement on WWE RAW?
