
A total of 504 out of 543 candidates winning Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are Crorepatis, according to the Association from Democratic Reforms report, indicating a rapid increase in the number of Crorepati politicians making their way into the parliament.
The ADR report released on Thursday shows that the percentage of candidates winning Lok Sabha Elections in 2024 has increased to 93% from 88% in the 2019 elections and 82% in the 2014 elections.
“Out of the 543 Winning candidates analysed, 504 (93%) are crorepatis. Out of 539 MPs analysed during Lok Sabha 2019 elections, 475 (88%) MPs were crorepatis. Out of 542 MPs analysed during Lok Sabha 2014 elections, 443 (82%) MPs were crorepatis and out of 543 MPs analysed during Lok Sabha 2009 elections, 315(58%) MPs were crorepatis,” read the ADR report.
