Watch: This “Tamatar Bhajiya” Sold In Surat Costs A Bomb! Guess The Price.

Unprecedented tomato price hikes in the past few months have made it the talk of the town. There is no denying that skyrocketed tomato prices have hit our kitchens hard. Humble tomatoes have honestly become a luxury for Indian households, where people are thinking of an alternative. Now, amidst all the buzz sparked by tomatoes, a video has left the Internet stunned, after it showed a place in Gujarat’s Surat, wherein 200 kgs of “tomato bhajiya” are sold daily. Shocked? Wait, there is more. If you feel like giving these bhajiyas a try, you will have to pay Rs 400 per kg. Yes, you read that right. Food vlogger Amar Sirohi’s review of this tomato bhajiya on his social media handle has sparked a laugh riot in the comments section.
The clip opens with a woman slicing tomatoes on a huge plate. Perfectly round slices of tomatoes are then topped with green coriander chutney. Another person was seen preparing the gram flour paste. After straining it in a container, the man adds water and generous amount of salt to it. Once the paste was ready, the sliced tomatoes are dipped in it and then deep fried till they turn golden in colour.
The clip was shared with the caption, “Most Expensive Tomato Bhajiya, 200Kg sale daily.” Watch it below:
