She first cuts up the peeled and cleaned arbi into smaller pieces. Neena Gupta moves the camera to show us how tomatoes and garlic have been charred on the stove and kept ready to make the soup. Next, she tells us (the viewers) that the arbi has to be boiled and cooked for half an hour. Later, the charred ingredients have to be mashed together and added to the arbi and its broth. Add salt to taste and the soup is almost ready!
