Singer Ed Sheeran “Just Ate” Chicken Wings For A Year And A Half During “Fat Phase”, Reveals How He Lost About 32 Kg

Ed Sheeran, one of the most famous singers in the world right now, once led a not-so-healthy lifestyle, with a poor diet and lack of physical activity leading him to weigh 15-and-a-half stone (98 kg). Talking about his “fat phase” during a recent chat on the Session 24 podcast, Ed revealed that he ate chicken wings for a year and a half, thinking it was a no-carb diet. Ed said, “I was in my fat phase, in America I used to think no carb meant no bread, no fries. I was like ‘I can eat chicken wings‘ and I just ate chicken wings for a year and a half. And I put on 4st (25.4 kg),” Mirror reported.

Ed revealed that he is prone to putting on a lot of weight. Reflecting on his dietary habits, he said, “I don’t have an off switch. If I have one thing to eat, the off switch is there. Like if I have that, then I won’t be like I need to order another and another. If everything is in front of me then I will eat it.”

During a 2021 interview with The Sun, Ed had also shared that previously he used to drink a lot. He revealed that he gained weight due to a diet of “chicken wings, wine, beer” every day, coupled with “never” exercising. He added that taking a break from touring was the “worst thing” for his health, as he would “drink every single day”.
