Dr. Mehmet Oz jumped to the man’s aid, while Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., hopped out of the way.
Video of the incident shows Trump turning towards the man and watching him receive care before turning away and standing with his arms at his sides, as captured in a photo taken by Getty Images photographer Andrew Harnik.
Harnik’s photo garnered a lot of reactions on social media as it seemed to support the notion shared by many that Trump isn’t really that concerned with other people.
When the conference resumed a half hour later, Trump gave an update on the man’s status, without mentioning him by name.
“One of the representatives of the companies, of one of these companies, got a little bit lightheaded,” he said. “We saw he went down, and he’s fine. They just sent him out, and he’s got doctors here. But he’s fine.”
Why the man collapsed was still unknown as of Thursday afternoon.
