Following a devastating fire at its Mumbai store in May this year, multi-brand sneaker retailer CrepDog Crew will reopen its outlet on June 30. The 35,000 square foot store will relaunch with a range of apparel and sneaker launches.
“India’s largest and most exciting sneaker and streetwear lifestyle store by CrepDog Crew (CDC) is back from the ashes,” announced the business in a press release. “After a fire accident, CDC is reopening its experiential store, CDC Experience, in an incredible comeback just 45 days later.”
The fire had destroyed both shop fittings and merchandise but CrepDog Crew has rebuilt with a Scandinavian art gallery aesthetic. Following its launch party on Sunday, the store will be open to the public once again.
“On May 7th, our beloved CDC Experience Store in Mumbai faced a tough challenge with a fire incident,” announced the business on Facebook about the blaze. “We’re incredibly grateful that everyone is safe and sound, thanks to the swift action of our community and brave firefighters. This was more than a store, it was our home, a hub of creativity and community. But listen, although it’s a setback, it’s nothing compared to the strength and resilience of our amazing crew… We’ll be back soon, stronger and more resilient than ever.”
CrepDog Crew’s Mumbai store will have the largest sneaker wall in Asia, according to the brand. Along with over 600 limited edition sneaker collectibles, the store will also house apparel and accessories.
