The Government of Karnataka has launched SME Connect ’25 as an initiative to support and strengthen small and medium sized enterprises in the state and promote the adoption of new technologies to increase their market opportunities.
SME Connect ’25 launched with an inaugural event at the Lalit Ashok in Bengaluru, Loginware Softtech Private Limited announced on Facebook. The event was hosted by Nasscom and KTech with support from the government’s Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and introduced the new programme ‘SME Connect – Industry 4.0 Enabled.’
By giving businesses in Karnataka access to and information on new technologies, the government aims to improve product quality and operational efficiency, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. The SME Connect – Industry 4.0 Enabled programme focuses on integrating artificial intelligence, data analytics, and the internet of things into small and medium enterprises’ operations to boost growth.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to prepare businesses in Karnataka to enter the global market. Following the inaugural workshop, the initiative will hold monthly sessions on technology integration in industrial clusters across the state to give continuous support to small and medium enterprises. As part of SME Connect ’25, businesses will also have the chance to showcase their products at the upcoming Global Investors Meet 2025.
