Fine jewellery brand CaratLane has opened its 300th brick-and-mortar store to date in Mumbai as it continues its omni-channel retail expansion. Located in the metro’s Malad neighbourhood, the store was inaugurated by fashion designer and content creator Nancy Tyagi.
“The launch of the 300th store on the auspicious day of Karva Chauth is a proud milestone in the journey of CaratLane,” announced CaratLane’s CEO and managing director Saumen Bhaumik in a press release on October 21. “We opened 12 new stores across India during this Navratri, continuing our endeavour to make beautiful yet affordable jewellery accessible to more and more Indian women. We are also launching our first store in the US, in New Jersey, marking the beginning of our international footprint.”
Tyagi, who is the face of CaratLane’s ‘Wear your Wins’ campaign, opened the store with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the presence of some of CaratLane’s top customers. A traditional coal-breaking ceremony was then carried out by customers inside the store to manifest prosperous times ahead.
CaratLane has physical stores in 130 cities across India, amounting to 3.7 lakh square feet of retail space. The new Malad store measures 900 square feet and houses over 1,500 jewellery designs, also offering engraving, ear piercing, and personalised gifting among other services.
