Inditex’s fashion and lifestyle brand Zara has collaborated with artist and creative entrepreneur Jayesh Sachdev to launch a vibrant, limited edition Diwali capsule collection. Designed for men, women, and children, the collaborative line presents a modern take on the spirit of Diwali.
The Diwali collection launched on October 15 across select Zara stores across India and on the brand’s e-commerce store, Zara announced in a press release. To celebrate the launch, Zara’s flagship store in Mumbai’s Phoenix Palladium mall unveiled a 10-foot sculpture of a tiger and special corners were set up at Zara stores in New Deli, Bengaluru, Pune, and Gurugram.
The collection is titled ‘Reverie’ and is designed to create a sense of wonder for all. The collection’s signature is a graphic, colourful tiger which symbolises power and protection along with the essence of Diwali. Along with a capsule collection of t-shirts and sweatshirts for women, men, and children, the line also features tote bags and patchouli scented candles.
“The composition is a dynamic mix of shapes- spheres, triangles, and polygons- arranged to evoke the joyous energy of the festival,” announced Zara in a press release. “Each element captures the exuberance and essence of Diwali through a whimsical fusion of geometric shapes and graphic elements like the glow of oil lamps, the sparkle of fireworks, and the beauty of decorative lanterns. Bright hues of gold, crimson, and emerald reflect the festive ambiance, imbuing the artwork with warmth and celebration. Bold, graphic lines enhance the playful nature of the piece, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the festive spirit.”
