Personal care brand Mamaearth from Honasa Consumer Ltd plans to strengthen its retail presence through distribution in canteen stores department (CSD) under the ministry of defence across India.
With this move, the brand aims to expand its reach to a previously untapped market segment by making its products available in all operating CSD.
Mamaearth claims that its entry into CSD has been a crucial growth driver and expects this collaboration to fuel its revenue going forward.
Commenting on the expansion, Varun Alagh, CEO co-founder of Honasa Consumer Ltd in a statement said, “Mamaearth has always focused on reaching our consumers wherever they are, and our presence in the CSD channel under the Ministry of Defence reflects this commitment.”
“We recognized the potential within the CSD network and have successfully established a presence in every state where CSD operates. The response has been incredibly positive, with Mamaearth products quickly becoming a consumer favourite,” he added.
Mamaearth, co-founded by Ghazal and Varun Alagh retails its portfolio of 200 products through e-commerce platforms and over 40,000 points of sale across India.
