Lucian Dorobantu, former head of Inditex’s Northern Europe international division and responsible for the Russian subsidiary until the company’s exit from that market in 2023, will succeed Pablo del Bado in leading the youth brand Pull&Bear.
The transition marks a significant leadership change within the Galician group, as announced in a brief statement to the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV). The statement noted that José Pablo del Bado Rivas, also a member of Inditex’s executive committee, has decided to step down from his responsibilities within the group.
Inditex highlighted Del Bado’s extensive and varied career at the company, emphasizing his “prolonged” professional journey, during which he held numerous roles of “diverse nature and high responsibility,” including the leadership of Pull&Bear since its inception.
No new appointment has been made to the executive committee, which now consists of eight members.
In March, Ana Risueño, Del Bado’s wife, also stepped down from her role at Zara Woman, where she held a significant position.
The group founded by Amancio Ortega added in its CNMV statement that Dorobantu, a Romanian national who led the Russian subsidiary until Inditex’s exit from the market in 2023, has officially been appointed as the new director of Pull&Bear.
