Estée Lauder Companies celebrates sixtieth anniversary of its Manufacturing & Fulfillment Campus in Oevel, Belgium

The Estée Lauder Companies celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of its Manufacturing & Fulfillment Campus in Oevel, Belgium on Thursday. The event brought together Oevel Campus employees, Belgian government officials, media, and Estée Lauder Companies leadership for a tour of the centre’s technology and a commemorative mural unveiling.

“Nearly sixty years ago, my grandparents, Estée and Joseph Lauder, laid the cornerstone of our first facility here in Oevel, establishing what would become a vital part of our global operations,” said William P. Lauder, chair of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Board of Directors in a press release. “From those early days, our Oevel Campus has evolved into a vibrant community and one of our most advanced centres for manufacturing and innovation. It reflects and embodies the visionary spirit of my grandmother, Mrs. Estée Lauder, as well as who we are as a company. This anniversary is both a celebration of our people and a tribute to the enduring partnerships that have shaped The Estée Lauder Companies’ legacy in Europe.”
 
The manufacturing, fulfilment, and biotech hub was first established in 1965. As one of Estée Lauder Companies’ largest manufacturing units by volume, the facility produces more than 100 million prestige beauty products annually, which are distributed to over 100 countries.

Today, the Oevel Campus measures over 100,000 square metres, five times larger than its initial footprint, and includes multiple buildings. Supporting over 20 brands, the campus is designed to facilitate rapid new product launches and personalised manufacturing, integrating advanced technologies and AI throughout its operations.
