Apparel and accessories brand Zara has launched a new store in Pune’s Phoenix Mall Of The Millennium with new technological and sustainable features. Measuring an expansive 24,500 square feet, the store is the Inditex-owned label’s second in the city.
Zara’s new address in Pune opened its doors to the public on August 14, the brand announced in a press release. The store is spread across the ground floor and first floor of the mall and retails Zara’s men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing and accessories lines.
The two floors of the store are connected by both escalators and a lift. While the ground floor space features Zara’s women’s and children’s product lines, the first floor is dedicated to menswear with an additional segment for shoes.
“The project brings together architecture, sustainability, innovation and technology at the service of the customer,” announced Zara in a press release. The store has been constructed to optimise energy consumption and limit CO2 emissions in line with the business’ sustainability goals.
Zara’s new store houses three self-checkout areas and an area for the collection of online orders. By integrating features with its online shopping app, Zara aims to create a seamless online to offline shopping experience.
Zara is part of the Inditex Group which also includes fashion brands Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, and Oysho as well as Zara Home. The business counts 23 Zara stores in India and retails in over 200 global markets.
