Reliance Retail has launched global cosmetics brand Kiko Milano on its multi-brand beauty platform Tira following its recent acquisition of Kiko Milano’s India operations. The Italianlaunched on Tira’s e-commerce store with a selection of both colour and skin cosmetics.
“It’s amore,” announced Tira Beauty on Facebook. “Kiko Milano is now available on Tira, and we’re swooning over all these new beauty essentials.”
Along with launching on Tira’s e-commerce store, Kiko Milano products will also be available in stores in six cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Pune. Kiko Milano has a catalogue of approximately 1,200 beauty products such as foundations, lip glosses, lip liners, and BB creams among others.
“As part of Reliance Retail’s strategic expansion in the beauty sector, the acquisition of Kiko Milano earlier this year, has brought Italy’s most beloved cosmetics brands to Indian shores,” announced Reliance Retail in a statement, India Retailing reported.
Kiko Milano had previously retailed in India through a joint venture between Italian business Percassi Group and New Delhi-based retail business DLF Brands Limited and entered the country in 2016. Reliance Retail has increased its focus on India’s booming beauty industry in recent years, launching Tira and acquiring the India business of multi-brand retailer Sephora last year.
