Hermès has named Anne-Sarah Panhard as its new managing director of Perfumes and Beauty, in an important internal promotion within the famed French luxury house.
Panhard joined the house in 2011, where she became managing director of Hermès France, a vital division that encompasses 28 stores, 700 employees, and makes up 14% of group revenues. Prior to that, Panhard was general manager of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré flagship in Paris, possibly the most profitable luxury emporium in the world.
The Paris-based luxury marque did not release a statement on Panhard’s appointment but confirmed her new title to FashionNetwork.com.
At the beginning of November, Panhard succeeded Agnès de Villers, who had held the position since May 2015. De Villers has moved on to being vice president of the Hermès Maroquinerie-Sellier métiers, which includes the Equestrian, Hermès Horizons, Petit h, and Internet of Things specialties.
Since 2018, Panhard had been managing director of Hermès Maison, where she oversaw creation and product development of decorative objects, tableware, furniture, and furnishing textiles collections. That position also included overseeing Puiforcat, the tableware brand owned by Hermès.

Her promotion comes in the wake of Hermès announcing its results for the first nine months of 2025, which saw a 6% slump in Hermès’ Perfume and Beauty sales to €367 million euros.
A skilled executive, Panhard also has extensive experience in department stores. She worked as country manager for Saks Fifth Avenue in Bahrain for three years before joining Hermès. Earlier still, she was country manager UK for Salvatore Ferragamo.
Her resumé also includes a two-year stint at Harrods, where she was divisional sales manager for fashion accessories and fine jewellery. This was a division that covered some 20% of the London department store’s revenues, according to her LinkedIn profile. She is also a graduate of two top business schools: Stanford in San Francisco and INSEAD, just outside Paris.
