Giovanna Vitelli to assume Altagamma presidency from June 1, 2026

There is a leadership change at Altagamma, the association that brings together 124 leading companies across the fashion, design, jewellery, food, hospitality, automotive, and yachting sectors. From June 1, 2026, Giovanna Vitelli will take over from Matteo Lunelli, president and CEO of the Lunelli Group, who has led the Foundation for two terms. Since 2023, Vitelli has been an active member of Altagamma, serving as vice president for the yachting sector.

President of Azimut|Benetti, a world leader in megayacht construction, Vitelli will lead the association for the 2026-2028 term. A law graduate, she practised law at the corporate law firm Bonelli, Erede & Pappalardo until 2004. In the same year, she joined the Azimut|Benetti Group, founded in 1969 by her father, where she became vice president in 2016 and president in 2023.

In the yachting sector, she also holds other positions, including the presidency of Marina di Varazze and the vice presidency of SYBAss, an international association that brings together the leading superyacht builders. She is also an entrepreneur in five-star mountain hospitality, with the Hôtellerie de Mascognaz in the Aosta Valley and the Grand Hotel des Alpes in Chamonix. She has held the position of honorary consul of Norway for Piedmont and the Aosta Valley since 2018. Among other accolades, she received EY’s ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award in 2024.
