Leather accessories brand Tiger Marrón has partnered with fashion brand Koytoy by Kunaal Kyhaan to launch an exclusive line of bags. The collection designed to mix heritage inspirations with modern style and has launched on the brand’s direct to customer e-commerce store.
“This range of handbags and accessories blends contemporary Indian design with cultural nostalgia, featuring inspirations from Mughal architecture and modern pop culture,’ announced the brand in a press release. “Kunaal’s visionary designs, in collaboration with Saahil’s commitment to quality and accessible luxury, create a fusion of heritage and innovation, offering a fresh take on India’s cultural heritage for the modern world.”
The bright and playful collection is made from organic vegan leather and features quilting techniques and detailed floral patterns. Hues of turmeric yellow, tangerine orange, ocean blue, and pastel lilac feature on compact handbags and more utilitarian accessories. Details such as tiger charms and animal print straps make the collection unexpected and irreverent.
Tiger Marrón was founded in 2019 and specialises in luxury leather goods. The brand’s eponymous designer hails from a family business known for manufacturing for leading global brands and aims to create a niche by mixing trend inspired designs with sustainable manufacturing processes and uses a mix of biodegradable leathers and vegan leathers.
Koytou by Kunaal Kyhaan Seolekar launched in 2020 and has an avant-garde aesthetic. The brand has a fluid approach to gender in fashion and its inspirations include architecture, traditions, and exotic rituals.
