Multi-brand eyewear retail chain LensCrafters has opened two new brick-and-mortar stores in Pune. Located inside the city’s Kopa Mall and Phoenix Mall of the Millennium, the stores launched with India retail partner Reliance Brands Limited.
“LensCrafters has arrived at Kopa Mall and Mall of [the] Millennium, bringing you the finest in eyewear innovation and style,” announced Reliance Brands Limited on Facebook. “The store offers a wide selection of designer brands and personalised vision solutions to dive into. Get ready to experience the ultimate luxury eye care!”
Brands available in the new stores range from Ray Ban, Oakley, and Silhouette to Gucci, Burberry, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Versace, and Dolce Gabbana among others. Along with eyeglasses and sunglasses, the stores also have segments for contact lenses. The stores have natural wood details and bright interiors with consultation areas for shoppers.
In March this year, Reliance Brands Limited acquired the India business of Luxottica Group’s eyewear company LensCrafters from previous partner DLF Brands. The move was designed to bolster the business’ eyewear portfolio ahead of its initial public offering.
LensCrafters is headquartered in Ohio, US and was established in 1983. The business employs an independent team of optometrists who carry out its eye exams and its stores. In the US, the brand retails from its direct to customer e-commerce store and brick-and-mortar outlets across the country, according to its website.
