E-commerce giant Flipkart has expanded its international brand portfolio with the launch of fashion brand DKNY on its platform through a partnership with MRPL Group.
With its association with DKNY’s India partner MRPL Group, Flipkart will offer Indian consumers exclusive access to DKNY’s extensive collection, which includes a wide range of handbags such as slings, clutches, wallets, shoulder bags, and travel bags.
Commenting on the partnership, Zenil Shah, director of MRPL Group in a statement said, “We are proud to be part of this transformative journey, connecting global brands with Indian consumers. MRPL Group remains dedicated to bringing more international brands to Flipkart, thereby solidifying the platform’s status as a hub for premium and diverse fashion.”
“This landmark partnership reflects the increasing appetite for global fashion in India and the efforts of key players to reshape the online retail landscape,” he added.
DKNY first launched in India in 2009 in partnership with DLF Brands, when it was owned by LVMH. The brand makes a comeback after DKNY’s parent firm’s G-III Apparel Group’s partnership with AWWG.
