Eyewear and eye care business Lenskart has launched a brick-and-mortar store in Dehradun to connect with shoppers in the Uttarakhand state capital. Located inside the Mall of Dehradun, the outlet offers a multi-brand selection of sunglasses and eyeglasses for men and women.
“Vision in style with Lenskart, now open at your favourite go-to destination Mall of Dehradun,” announced the shopping centre on Facebook. “From the trendiest sunglasses to the most suitable blue-screen ones, find picks made spec-ially for you!”
Mall of Dehradun launched on June 1 and houses brands including Forest Essentials, Salt Attire, Giva, Market 99, Color Plus, and Easybuy among others. The development is a project by real estate giant Pacific Development Corporation Limited and is the city’s largest shopping centre, measuring seven lakh square feet.
At the beginning of June, Lenskart raised $200 million from the Singapore state investment firm Temasek and Fidelity Management and Research Company. The deal’s financial advisor was Avendus Capital, which also notes that Lenskart has secured close to $1 billion in capital over the past 18 months, Reuters reported at the time.
Lenskart counts over 2,500 brick-and-mortar stores in India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia along with its e-commerce store. The business launched in 2010 and is based in Gurgaon.
