The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council has concluded its networking tour of Latin America and reported forging new industry connections. Through its tour of Brazil, Colombia, and Panama, the GJEPC worked to strengthen gem and jewellery trade ties with the Latin American and Caribbean region.
“I am immensely proud of the strides we have made during our recent delegation visit to Latin America,” said GJEPC chairman Vipul Shah in a press release. “Our engagements in Brazil, Colombia, and Panama have not only showcased the unparalleled craftsmanship and diversity of India’s gems and jewellery sector but also paved the way for enduring partnerships. We are committed to expanding India’s footprint in the global market, and this tour has been a significant step towards strengthening our economic ties with the Latin American and Caribbean region. The future is bright, and we look forward to a flourishing exchange of culture, commerce, and trading of gems & jewellery in these vibrant and dynamic regions.”
The tour saw the GJEPC delegation explore new markets where they connected with jewellery buyers and businesses. The delegation held talks with Brazilian jewellery store chain the Monte Carlo Group as well as Brazilian jewellery business Sauer Group and visited the Indian Embassy in Brazil.

In Colombia, the GJEPC met with the Ambassador of India to Colombia and promoted its upcoming international trade shows to the local industry. In Panama, the GJEPC met the Indian Ambassador to Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua and held an event to celebrate the shared goal of increased trade ties.
