Multi-brand desi fashion retailer The Amethyst Room has brought together three labels for a festive fashion showcase at its Chennai boutique, launching on November 7 with Anupamaa, Piar by Priyadarshini Rao, and Akirahin by Niharika Bhasin.
The festive shopping fair will run until November 13 on Chamiers Road. The three brands’ designers Anupama Dayal of the label Anupamaa, Priyadarshini Rao of the label Piar, and Niharika Bhasin of the jewellery brand Akirahin will all be present at The Amethyst Room to present their collections and connect with shoppers.
Anupamaa will showcase a selection of bohemian womenswear garments from its ready-to-wear line. Launched in 2004, the label is available in 21 countries globally and uses organic materials to create eclectic looks.
Piar by Priyadarshini Rao will showcase a range of elevated everyday wear in global silhouettes. Using premium fabric to create offbeat garments, the label’s designs are created to be seasonless and ageless with hand embroidery and Mulberry washed silks.
Akirahin by Niharika Bhasin will present a collection of gemstone jewellery featuring natural elements such as delicate dragonflies. The jewellery mixes tactile forms with chunky chains and mixed stones. Akirahin by Niharika Bhasin has worked as a costume designer on a number of Bollywood films and ‘Akirahin’ is the designer’s first name spelled backwards.
