US-based lingerie, swimwear, and lounge wear brand Bare Necessities has teamed up with Indian supermodel Padma Lakshmi to launch a collaborative collection. Designed to appeal to women of all ages, the product line went live on Bare Necessities’ e-commerce store on June 6.
The Padma x Bare Necessities collection features lingerie, loungewear, and swimwear designed to empower women at every stage of life, Bare Necessities announced in a press release. Priced from $12 to $138, the line is inspired by Lakshmi’s love of lingerie and her longterm desire to design her own collection after modelling inner wear by numerous international brands.
“The collection encourages women of all ages and sizes to feel sexy and feminine,” said Lakshmi in a press release. “Lingerie isn’t just the purview of a select demographic of women with one specific body type. I feel more confident in my body today than I ever did when I was that age modelling lingerie. I’m hoping that women will treasure these styles and use them in a variety of ways- in and out of the bedroom.”
Along with classic lace bra and pantie sets, the collection also features futuristic style bodysuits, floaty coverups, and figure-hugging maxi dresses. Lounge wear in the collection ranges from simple tank tops to woven pants in sizing from S to XXL, available for international shipping from the US.
