Converse has expanded its women’s footwear offering in India and launched its ‘Run Star Trainer’ in the country. Now available in five colour ways, the sneaker design caters to shoppers on the go.
The sneaker is now available to purchase in India on Converse’s direct to customer e-commerce store for the Indian market, priced at Rs 6,499, the brand announced in a press release. The sneaker is made from a mix of nylon, suede, and leather and is available in the colour ways ‘Black’, ‘Egret’, Blue, ‘Red’, and ‘Golden Wren’.
“With a fresh take on form, fit and function, the Run Star Trainers are an evolution of the Converse line-up,” announced the brand in a press release. “It is rooted in the authentic sports legacy and the DNA of Converse and pulls from familiar histories and styles to reimagine footwear from the ground up. More than 20 heritage classics, which were purpose-built for karate, fencing, soccer, track and even pole steeple, have served as an inspiration for the all-new silhouette, creating a sneaker that is both nostalgic, iconic and forward-thinking to meet the demands of contemporary life.”
Based in Massachusetts, US and initially founded in 1908 as a rubber business, Converse is today a wholly owned subsidiary of Nike Inc. The brand is known for its signature sneakers including the Chuck Taylor All Star, One Star, and Weapon and retails globally both online and offline.
