Italian executive Matteo De Rosa has left LVMH, the French luxury giant, stepping down as head of its Métiers d’Art division, a post he had held since 2021. Métiers d’Art was established in 2015 at the initiative of Bernard Arnault to secure a steady supply of highly prized raw materials.
The news has only emerged today, but Matteo De Rosa left his post as head of LVMH Métiers d’Art almost two months ago, on October 17. The French group thanked him in a statement, cited by international business and financial media, “for his contribution to the development and influence of this strategic entity, dedicated to preserving and promoting the exceptional craftsmanship that is part of the group’s artisanal heritage.”
Ludovic Pauchard, the LVMH Group’s director of industry and craftsmanship and executive chairman of LVMH Métiers d’Art, will announce his successor in due course, the luxury group said.
Before joining LVMH, De Rosa served as president of Dries Van Noten Belgium. He previously worked for Australian luxury goods retailer Kennedy, where he was fashion and lifestyle director. At the helm of Métiers d’Art, De Rosa oversaw the French group’s main material suppliers, focusing in particular on securing supplies of leather, exotic skins, and metal components.
