Danish footwear brand Ecco has strengthened its retail presence in India and launched an outlet on Mumbai’s Linking Road, a well-known shopping destination, to bring its countrywide store total to eight.
Located inside the Sant Kutir Building in Mumbai’s Khar West neighbourhood, the store’s opening is part of Ecco’s plan to bolster its presence in key urban markets, the brand announced in a press release. Inside the new store, shoppers can browse Ecco’s Autumn/ Winter 2025 collection for men and women, with models such as ‘Biom,’ ‘Cozmo,’ and ‘Golf,’ set against a minimalist, Scandinavian interior.
“Mumbai has always been at the heart of India’s fashion and retail landscape, and Linking Road remains one of its most vibrant shopping districts,” said Ecco India’s country manager Sumeet Lodhia in a press release. “The launch of our new Ecco store here reflects our continued commitment to bringing global retail experiences closer to Indian consumers. As it’s India’s iconic high street, opening at Linking Road is a significant milestone, a great way to announce Ecco’s growing standing in the country and mark our strong growth trajectory. With our latest collections, we look forward to welcoming customers to experience Ecco’s unique blend of comfort, design, and innovation.”
Launched in 1963, Ecco aims to mix classic Danish design with innovative technologies. The business employs more than 20,000 people worldwide and its products are sold in 98 countries.
