Luxury carpet brand Obeetee has collaborated with designers Tarun Tahiliani, Anju Modi, Ashdeen Z Lilaowala, and Anita Dalmia for a collection of carpets titled Viraasat.
Obeetee had earlier collaborated with JJ Valaya as part of its ongoing ‘Proud to be Indian Series’ which transforms fashion designers’ aesthetics into luxury carpets.
Commenting on the collection, Rudra Chaterjee, chairman of Obeetee in a statement said, “It is truly inspiring to witness the dedication to preserving Indian culture, and Obeetee has set a remarkable example in this endeavour. The Viraasat collection, a celebration of 104 years of growth, showcases exquisite rugs that pay homage to our rich heritage.”
“The collaboration of distinguished designers with the meticulous artistry at Obeetee fills me with immense pride as we introduce this new chapter in the legacy of carpet weaving,” he added.
Obeetee’s Viraasat collection will be available for purchase from September at Obeetee’s flagship stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Pune.
