Advance box office collections

Early estimates suggest the film may open in the range of Rs 7-10 crore net, with the potential to climb higher if audience reactions remain positive. A double-digit opening would mark one of the biggest starts for both leading stars Malhotra and Kapoor.
Early box office predictions
Looking at the pre-sales trend and per trade projections, the film could open in the range of Rs 7–9 crores on Day 1, depending on word of mouth. It will enjoy a wide release, across 2500 screens nationwide, thus helping it boost its box office business.

Top 10 highest earning films
If the film manages to hit double digits on its opening day, it would make its way into the Top 10 of the highest Day 1 collections at the box office, beating out the likes of Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’. The film would need to cross the Rs 20 crore mark to compete with the Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer ‘Saiyaara’ which is currently the highest-grossing romantic film.
Are rom-coms the flavour of the season
It should be noted that while rom-coms typically don’t generate massive pre-release sales like big-budget action spectacles, they often benefit from strong word-of-mouth and from walk-in ticket sales. However, after the release of ‘Saiyaara’, the rom-com genre, currently enjoying a favourable run at the box office, and trade experts believe ‘Param Sundari’ could capitalise on the trend while fending off competition from Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ and Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s ‘War 2’. According to reports, Sidharth has a lot riding on the film and its box office success. The actor, who has been going through a rough patch with his films performing well at the box office, is said to be banking heavily on this light-hearted entertainer.
