John Madden, the animated Raiders coach who won a Super Bowl and later the hearts of TV viewers as an NFL analyst, gets the biopic treatment in “Madden,” which debuted a trailer on Christmas Day. (Watch it below.)
“There’s only one John Madden,” Bale’s Davis says. “They didn’t make another one.”
Cage later unleashes Madden’s manic energy while scribbling on a board during a broadcast.
“They have no idea where we are, who we are, where we’re coming from, or who we’re throwing to!” Cage’s Madden enthuses.
Madden also courted a generation of gamers by lending his name to the Madden NFL video game franchise.
“Madden” is due out next November on Prime Video.
