Celina files domestic violence complaint against husband
Celina’s allegations against her husband, come after 15 years of togetherness. Last August, Celina marked 14 years since her engagement to the Austrian businessman by posting a heartfelt note and a throwback photograph from the day he proposed. In the caption, she narrated how Haag flew to Mumbai for just eight hours to meet her parents before asking them for permission to marry her.
When Celina shared her late mother’s advice
Celina quoted her mother’s advice, which had stayed with her through the years, “The wrong one will find you in peace and leave you in pieces, but the right one will find you in pieces and lead you to peace.”Looking back, she reflected on the highs and lows they endured as a couple, including the devastating loss of their baby Shamsher and, later, both her parents. “I didn’t know this side of marriage as well … Today we are parents of twins p;lus one #twinsplusone our priorities have shifted beyond just us being “us two” … Marriage should be above all small bickerings … Marriage should be above everything that makes us human…”
Trouble in paradise
However, the anniversary post has surfaced amid troubling developments in the actor’s personal life. In her latest note, she described the emotional isolation she is currently experiencing, “In the middle of the strongest, most turbulent storm of my life, I never imagined I would find myself fighting alone, without any parents, without any support system. I never thought there would come a day without all the pillars on which the roof of my world once rested – my parents, my brother, my children, and the one who promised to stand by me.”The actor in her note, also added, “My priority remains fighting for my soldier brother, fighting for my children’s love, and fighting for my dignity. A DV complaint has been filed against all the atrocities and abandonment perpetrated upon me.”
Celina seeks compensation
As reported by PTI, her plea, filed through Karanjwala & Co, cites domestic violence, cruelty and manipulation under the Domestic Violence Act. She alleges Haag restricted her independence, called him “a narcissistic, self-absorbed individual” with a short temper and alcohol issues, and detailed incidents of abuse. She seeks Rs 50 crore compensation, Rs 10 lakh monthly maintenance, and access to their three children.
