Singer Shaan recently addressed his viral clips from the past where he called out fans over inappropriate comments and actions, during a conversation on Ranveer Allahbadia‘s podcast. In one video, Shaan is seen calling out viewers who left abusive comments during his live broadcast, expressing frustration over the negativity, saying, “What kind of people are they? If you’re dealing with someone, don’t say such nonsensical things.” He mentioned that even his children’s friends joke about the incident, noting how it has become part of his online persona.
In another widely shared clip, Shaan confronts a concert attendee for trying to politicize the show. The man in question had thrown an object on stage, which infuriated the singer during his live performance. Reflecting on the incident, which took place in Guwahati, Shaan said, “Someone in the crowd was turning the concert into a political issue, so I had to tell him, ‘Don’t make this political. Respect the performer, or leave.’”
Shaan shared that his reaction was intensified because he was performing while unwell, which added to his frustration when divisive comments were made. “When you’re performing live, giving your all, sometimes these comments feel unnecessary and irritating. I’ve always believed music should unite, not divide.”

Growing up in a multicultural environment, Shaan has developed a deep respect for diverse beliefs and backgrounds, which he said makes him sensitive to any attempt to politicize art. “In our home, we had pictures of Mother Mary, the Kaaba, and Lord Ganesha side by side. So when people try to bring regional or political biases into my concerts, it bothers me. We are all one.”
Shaan emphasized that he hopes his fans can focus on the joy of music, leaving aside any regional biases. “There’s nothing greater than humanity. Let’s keep music free from divisions.”
