“Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” is currently the most popular show on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.
The biographical crime drama is the second installment in Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s “Monster” anthology series, which debuted with “The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” The new season focuses on the 1989 murders of José and Kitty Menéndez at the hands of their sons, Lyle and Erik.
Released on Sept. 19, the nine-episode season stars Javier Bardem, Chloë Sevigny, Cooper Koch, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Nathan Lane and Ari Graynor.

The most popular show on Max at the moment is “The Penguin,” a new spin-off from the 2022 film “The Batman.”
As the title suggests, the miniseries centers on the DC Comics character Penguin and his rise to power in Gotham City. “The Penguin” stars Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown and Carmen Ejogo.
“La Maison” is trending on Apple TV+ following the release of the first two episodes on Sept. 20.
In the vein of “Succession,” the French drama focuses on a power struggle and a wealthy family dynasty, but this time it’s the fashion industry at the center of the fight. The remaining episodes will drop on Fridays.
Another new comic book series debuted on Disney+ on Sept. 18.
“Agatha All Along” is a spinoff of the 2021 show “WandaVision” and follows the character Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn. The cast also features Joe Locke, Debra Jo Rupp, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata and Patti LuPone.
The most popular show on Hulu right now is “High Potential,” a new ABC crime drama that premiered on Sept. 17.
