Shraddha Kapoor- Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 needs less than Rs 5 crore to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan as Hindi Cinema’s biggest hit | Hindi Movie News

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao led Stree 2 is on the cusp of making the biggest change in the history of box office records of Hindi Cinema. The film which released on 15th August, has been setting box office records on fire since day 1, as it went on to collect Rs 564 crore in five weeks. In its sixth weekend, the film added another Rs 13.5 crore as per early estimates by Sacnilk to its collection, taking the overall total of the film to Rs 577.50 crore.

The film is also only the second Hindi film to cross the Rs 550 crore threshold, after Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, and now needs only Rs 4.81 crore to become the biggest Hindi film of all time. The top spot in the list of Biggest Hindi films is taken by Shah Rukh Khan’s Atlee directed Jawan, which had collected Rs 582.31 crore. And going by the numbers, Stree 2 will breach King Khan’s record in the next couple of days.
Even after becoming the biggest Hindi film, there will be no change for Stree 2 in the list of Indian Cinema’s biggest hit . It is currently on the 6th position behind Jawan, Kalki 2898 AD, RRR, KGF 2 and Baahubali 2- The Conclusion.

Stree 2 will need to breach Jawan’s record of Rs 640. 25 crore to become the 5th biggest hit of Indian Cinema. Jawan was able to reach the huge number courtesy the film doing massive business in Tamil and Telugu circuits, collecting about Rs 57.94 crore.
Stree 2 is part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe which already has Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon through Bhediya, Abhay Verma and Sharvari via Munjya, and soon, vampires will be joining them via Ayushamann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s film, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar.
