Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz is the latest national politician to be mimicked by comic and impressionist Matt Friend.
Friend showed off his impression of Walz to MSNBC’s Ari Melber on Wednesday.
“Yeah, I mean, look, he’s got a real kind of a Ted Lasso coach thing going on, he’s always kind of yelling, moving his hands like this,” said Friend as Walz.
“All I do know, Ari, is that when we win this dang thing in November, I’m gonna take a big gallon of Gatorade, coach-style, Belichick, Patriot-style and smash it, pour it right over Kamala’s face,” he continued. “I mean these guys are just weird, exciting hand movements. Tim Walz, very excited to be here. Taking care of business.”
Melber laughed, clearly enjoying the mimicry.
Friend also emulated GOP nominee Donald Trump, former President Barack Obama and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in the interview.
