An Ark player has impressed the community with a massive creation inspired by one of the most iconic locations seen in Game of Thrones and its prequel spinoff, House of the Dragon. Building is a primary component of Ark: Survival Evolved and its remake, Survival Ascended, as players gather resources out in the open world to build anything from the most basic structures designed for functionality in a bid to survive to more elaborate, massive, multi-leveled facilities with varying durability depending on what building tier players are on.
lzoesc took to the r/ARK Subreddit to share their recreation of a massive settlement inspired by King’s Landing, the capital of the Seven Kingdoms on the coast of Westeros.
The location is built upon several tiers, much like the actual King’s Landing’s hill-type layout, from lower levels up to towering structures, creating an impressive sense of scale fitting for such a location.

House of the Dragon season 2 is coming to HBO, and will have to build upon the dramatic events of the season 1 finale. Here’s everything to know.
King’s Landing Is One Of Game Of Thrones’ Most Iconic Locations
lzoesc’s Inspired Settlement Brings Many Of The Key Components Into Ark
lzoesc’s recreation features all the main components of the iconic location, from the large city wall that would normally be manned by the City Watch, aka. The Gold Cloaks, to the towering Red Keep, which houses the King of the Andals and the First Men, his family, and his court and is located atop the hill, looking down at all of the houses below. The walkthrough video created the feeling of entering through the gates of the city wall before panning up to show the sheer scale, which could only have been further brought to life with some kind of an NPC mod to populate it as ZombiejesusX suggested in the comments.
While lzoesc didn’t state which version of Ark they built their King’s Landing-inspired settlement in, Ark: Survival Ascended improved the building mechanics from Survival Evolved in many ways, with better snap points for certain structure types that added some much-needed creative freedom as players could better align items and rotate them in a variety of different ways to further create impressive and unique structures that would have made designing a King’s Landing-esque structure far easier.
Of course, lzoesc shared their Game of Thrones-inspired build at the perfect time, as House of the Dragon‘s second season just began days before on June 16, but considering just how impressively detailed and large the creation is, it was likely in the works for a long time beforehand. Considering how King’s Landing was once home to dragons, it will be interesting to see how it holds up in Ark‘s dinosaur-filled world.
