Seth Meyers tweaked one of Donald Trump’s favorite slogans in response to the report in Bob Woodward’s new book “War” that then-President Trump secretly sent COVID testing equipment to Russia’s Vladimir Putin during the pandemic when Americans were struggling to get tested themselves.
On Wednesday’s episode of “Late Night,” host Meyers aired a montage of the now-Republican presidential nominee Trump bombastically declaring his love, loyalty and unswerving devotion to Americans and repeating his mantra of “America First.”
Meyers, though, suggested Trump’s helping hand to Putin over U.S. citizens should see the catchphrase tweaked to “America! But First…”
