Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv Sinha finally broke his silence on his sister Sonakshi Sinha‘s rumored wedding with boyfriend and actor Zaheer Iqbal. Luv revealed that he is currently out of town and chose to remain tight-lipped about the matter. Reportedly, Sonakshi and Zaheer will get married in Mumbai on June 23.
Talking to ETimes exclusively, Luv said, “I’m out of Mumbai at the moment, and if it’s regarding the news published, I have no comment or involvement in the matter.”
Reports suggest that Sonakshi and Zaheer have been planning their wedding for a while.However, the recent Lok Sabha elections forced them to delay their plans. Sonakshi’s father, actor-politician Shatrugan Sinha, contested in the elections from Asansol, West Bengal, representing the TMC party.
An IndiaToday.in report indicates that invitations have been distributed to close friends, family members, and the entire cast of ‘Heeramandi’. The wedding invitation is crafted to resemble a magazine cover, with the prominent text affirming, ‘the rumors are true’. Additionally, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding festivities are scheduled to occur at Bastian in Mumbai, but no official confirmation has been made till date.
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series, ‘Heeramandi’, which is currently streaming on OTT. Set in pre-partition India, the show delves into the lives of courtesans who held significant power and influence during the country’s freedom struggle. Its ensemble cast includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadha, Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Farida Jalal, and Indresh Malik.
