Kalki 2898 AD – Official Telugu Trailer
The trailer features Amitabh Bachchan in a new fiery avatar who protects Deepika Padukone’s character. Her introduction scene hints that she is pregnant, and Prabhas’ mission is to protect her at any cost. It also gave some glimpses of Mollywood actors Shobana, Anna Ben, and more. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan stole the show with a scary, skinny alien look. His final words declaring the beginning of a new era ignited expectations.
‘Kalki AD 2898’ is one of the most anticipated films of the year and the film was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi and it will be released in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and English. The movie is set to release in theatres on June 27 worldwide.
As the title suggests, the film inspired by the Hindu scriptures is shot in a post apocalyptic world starting from the end of Mahabarath era to 2898 AD. The movie is the first installment of the planned Kalki Cinematic Universe.
The film is set with a backdrop of Indian mythology in the city of Kasi, Varanasi and depics the beginning of Kali yuga and the core of the film revolves around the tenth avatar ‘Kalki’ of lord Vishnu.
