In an exclusive interview with ETimes, actor Arjan Bajwa shared his heartfelt admiration and pride for Chirag Paswan, celebrating his recent victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Paswan, who transitioned from the world of cinema to a significant political career, has captured the hearts and votes of many in Bihar, marking yet another milestone in his impressive journey.
Chirag Paswan, now 41, first stepped into the public eye 13 years ago with his acting debut in the film ‘Mile Na Mile Hum,’ where he starred opposite Kangana Ranaut. Despite the film not achieving commercial success, Paswan’s aspirations did not wane. He turned towards politics, a field where he has undoubtedly found his calling and made a lasting impact.
Arjan Bajwa, who has known Paswan since his younger days, expressed his profound pride in his friend’s accomplishments. “Seeing Chirag from adolescence to now turning into a seasoned political figure in mainstream Indian politics is a matter of immense pride for me,” Bajwa shared. His admiration for Paswan extends beyond his political victories, touching on the qualities that have defined Paswan’s journey.

“Even during the treacherous and trying times, he has always maintained his composure, grit, patience, infectious enthusiasm, and courage,” Bajwa continued. These attributes have undoubtedly contributed to Paswan’s resilience and success in the tumultuous world of politics. “And now he has emerged as a winner with flying colors against all the odds thrown at him. He makes us all extremely proud as a family,” concluded Arjan.
Chirag Paswan contested his first Lok Sabha election in 2014 from Bihar’s Jamui constituency and secured a decisive win. He retained this seat in the 2019 general elections, demonstrating his growing influence and popularity among the voters. In the recently concluded 2024 elections, Paswan switched constituencies and contested from Hajipur. His victory was resounding, winning by a margin of 1,70,105 votes, further solidifying his position in Indian politics. His party, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), also performed admirably, winning five seats in Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria, and Jamui.
