Movies allegedly rejected by Govinda

One of Anil Kapoor’s most memorable performances is his supporting role as Vikrant Kapoor in Taal. However, here’s a fun twist: before Anil took on the part opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, it was actually his Deewana Mastana co-star, Govinda, who was offered the role! Govinda passed on the opportunity due to scheduling conflicts and disagreements over pay. Celebrating the 23rd anniversary of Taal, Anil revealed on Instagram that this iconic role was initially meant for Govinda. Interestingly, it was Anil’s performance in Taal that caught the eye of director Danny Boyle, leading to an offer for a role in Slumdog Millionaire!
