Worst Ex Ever: Disturbing New Docuseries Is The Top Show On Netflix

“Worst Ex Ever” is currently the most popular show on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

The new true crime docuseries premiered on Aug. 28 with the simultaneous release of all four episodes. As the title suggests, the show details people’s real experiences with nightmarish exes ― from elaborate revenge schemes to violent murders.

Created by the same team that produced “Worst Roommate Ever,” “Worst Ex Ever” follows a similar format with roughly hour-long episodes detailing different stories of breakups that turned terrifying.

The top show on Hulu at the moment is “Only Murders in the Building,” which returned for a fourth season on Aug. 27.

Spanning the genres of mystery, comedy and drama, the series stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short as three New York City neighbors who bond over their shared love of true crime and launch a podcast after a mysterious death in their building. New episodes will drop every Tuesday until the finale on Oct. 29.

“Chimp Crazy” is the most popular series on Max right now. Produced by “Tiger King” creator Eric Goode, the three-part docuseries was released on Aug. 18.

The show centers around an animal broker who develops a love for a chimpanzee and other stories of humans who engage in private primate ownership.

Another series is trending again in the streaming world after returning for a new season.

“Pachinko” on Apple TV+ is an adaptation of Min Jin Lee’s bestselling 2017 novel about a Korean immigrant family told over multiple generations. Almost two years after the first season premiered to positive reviews from critics in 2022, it returned for season two on Aug. 23.
